COLD BLOODED REPTILES

Our relatively warm winters and abundance of food sources provide an ideal location for cold-blooded reptiles to flourish. While you may see the occasional alligator this close to the coast, you’re much more likely to see lizards like the green anole (Anolis Carolinensis) or eastern glass lizard (Ophisaurus), turtles like the Florida redbelly cooter (Pseudemys Floridana), and snakes like Florida banded watersnake (Nerodia Fasciata).
